DocuPet Inc. is an innovative pet licensing firm servicing municipalities throughout Canada. We provide a website, rewards program, fulfillment system, lost pet alerts, tools for bylaw and customer service. Our program is the first of its kind, we are expanding quickly across and outside of Ontario, and are seeking dynamic new team members.
Account Managers are the client-facing centre of DocuPet. They begin interacting with our municipal clients before a contract is signed, and continue to manage the account on an ongoing basis through and after launch of each program.
DocuPet AM’s are smart. They nurture positive working relationships, lead high-level meetings, and manage the internal tasks, projects & timelines required to support our clients and their needs. They continuously look for new and innovative ways to steward our client’s accounts.
As an Account Manager at DocuPet, you will spend your time:
Managing Client Accounts: You are the dialed-in, in-the-know resource for our clients. You are educated on their specific solution and are their go-to contact for details about their account. Not only do you have the answers for the questions our clients bring to you, you are proactive and make sure they always know about upcoming changes and initiatives from within our company. Our clients always enjoy getting a call from you- they know you care.
Launching New Accounts: You will work closely with the Sales Team to learn about new clients and transition them into the Launch phase. You will lead meetings with City Clerks and Department Managers in newly partnered municipalities to plan, design and implement the program. You are responsible for managing launches with our internal staff, ensuring everyone does their part to deliver an epic, timely roll out for our client.
Identifying New Opportunities: The trust built between you and our client allows you to be a sought-out, consultative partner. For example, you may recognize and recommend advantageous changes to existing bylaws and will effectively present these changes to our clients, ultimately having them proposed and accepted to improve the program. The responsibility of seeking opportunities for the betterment of each account is yours.
Successful Account Managers:
Are Confident. You will be leading strategic meetings, and at times you will be required to push-back on requests from clients. You are the steward who determines at all times what is best for the company and what is best for the client. You manage expectations and proactively communicate news, both good and bad.
Embrace Change. You will not be doing the same thing day in and day out. Different times of year call for different types of work with each account. From rollouts to changing bylaws to managing renewal notices, you’ll find yourself tasked with something different each day. We are growing, so internally on a higher level, things change rapidly (for the better). It’s key that our staff can adapt.
Are Self-Motivated. You constantly have something on the go and are always (rightfully) proud of your work. Seeing through a project from start to finish is a favourite pastime. You welcome the odd late night at the office alone or with your teammates to get great work done on time.
Love a Challenge. Not knowing the answer doesn’t scare you: it inspires you. An eagerness to learn and a willingness to ask for help are key in this role. You’re innovative and appreciate the spice a good challenge provides.
Seek Betterment. Your mind is wired to search for ways to constantly improve. If you find an opportunity to make something better you make a plan and propose change. Not only do you do this for clients, but internally within the company as well, effectively improving processes and procedures.
